Kpone Independent Power Plant, Tema – Ghana
The Kpone Independent Thermal Power plant was an EPC contract which involved designing, building and commissioning a power plant was given to Group Five Power Projects. The power plant will be cooled by seawater that is accessed through underground pipes, and the hot water effluent will be returned to the sea via the same pipes. We partnered with AB Engineering to execute the river crossing of these pipes covering a distance of 16km from inland channeled to the lagoon by thrust boring method.
